How do I set a color for a task or event?
In Desktop Informant (any version) or Pocket Informant for iOS, you have the following ways to edit the color of an event or task that's native to Pocket Informant:Task
- Edit the task itself and assign a color. (this is not applicable to Reminders)
- If the task has a project - it can have a color as well. Just right click on the project and edits its color.
- If a task has a tag, that tag can have a color and it can get that color.
- Otherwise a task has a sync status - you can edit the color for unsynched tasks or for that sync account.
Essentially there are multiple levels of colors - and the color that wins is the most local:
- Local Item Color
- Project colors
- Tag colors
- Sync account color
- Edit the event itself and assign a color. (this is not applicable to iOS/Mac Events)
- If a event has a tag, that tag can have a color and it can get that color.
- Otherwise an event has a calendar that it lives on and it will use that color.
