So, you’ve posted a photo on Instagram that you thought was really neat, but there has been little response to it, or worse, a negative response. Or maybe you’re having second thoughts about posting the photo, deciding that it’s somewhat private and you’d rather share it only with a few specific people.
Instagram doesn’t allow you to delete multiple pictures at once (outside of deleting your entire account), but you can remove photos from Instagram one-by-one. Here’s how.
How to delete a photo on Instagram
Open the Instagram application on your mobile device and log in.
Tap the Profile icon () in the bottom-right corner to go to your profile. You will see a collection of all of the photos that you have posted to Instagram. Tap the one that you wish to delete.
Tap the three white dots below the photo to bring up a list of options. Then click Delete.
Instagram will ask you to confirm that you really want to delete this photo. If you’re sure that you want to remove this photo from Instagram, tap Delete again. Otherwise, tap Don’t Delete.
There you go! Your picture has now been deleted from Instagram. And now you know how to delete any other pictures that you have second thoughts about in the future!
